It all sounds romantic right? Living in Europe, strolling down to the bakery for a baguette, soaking up the views, romantic dinners, seeing sights hundreds of years old. Most of the time, it is quite romantic.
Except when you have just had a baby and it is 90+ degrees outside and no AC. And you have to nurse in the heat. Then the romance fizzles. Fizzles fast.
It's when we questioned our decision to rent a west-facing concrete walled apartment. We couldn't decide if it was better to be inside or outside. It was so hot! Usually, it stays in the 70s and 80s during the summer in Switzerland, but we just had a stroke of bad luck this year. Didn't help that we had company who I am sure didn't appreciate the heat as much as we didn't.
Didn't really take pics during these couple of weeks. Too sweaty, too cranky, to emotional. I will never take AC for granted again. I did manage to take this one of Bennett and Jed, which sums up how we all were feeling....
Fortunately, our friends Aaron and Kristyn saved the day. They were heading to Utah for 6 weeks and offered to let us house sit for them. 6 weeks in a beautiful place with air conditioning. Thank you!
