December Happenings

We packed our month with some fun festive activities. We got Smashburger and took the boys down to the Grand America to see the Christmas windows and the life-sized gingerbread house. They always come up with such clever themes! This year it was "T'was the Night Before Christmas."

 We had our ward Christmas Party, which was really special. It was a turkey dinner for parents and kids, and then Kenneth Cope gave a beautiful musical program. It is always a treat to hear him perform! And of course, Santa came! We love this Santa Claus. He sits the kids down and teaches them about Jesus and how He is the true meaning of Christmas, then he asks if the kids did a good job trying to be like Jesus over the year. He also does some fun magic tricks:-)

The Sweetest!

 Mammy and Poppa have been continuing a tradition my Grandma and Grandpa Choules' started when I was little. They give each grandchild an ornament each Christmas so that by the time they are all grown up, they have a special collection. Mammy and Poppa also brought a sweet Christmas story to read to Bennett and Jense and add to our library. So sweet!

 We had a fun family night outing downtown to see the lights at Temple Square! We really had to get out and do it this year because it will close for the next four years for renovations. Bennett was really cute and pushed Jensen's stroller almost the whole time!
