Bring on the Holiday Season!

Bye Bye Halloween, Hello November!

Lots of day to day regular routine, but we planned a fun outing down to Provo to see Uncle Stevo at BYU! We got Chick-fil-A, hit up the candy counter, and walked Stevo to class. The boys love any chance to run around campus with one of their favorites.

 Then all of the sudden it was Thanksgiving!!! It turned out to be a snowy day, so my boys went outside and made themselves a snowman! We watched the parade, Andy played a turkey bowl with the YM and EQ, and we relaxed a bit. We spent dinner at Mammy and Poppa's this year and had all of the yummy fixings with Annie and Trent, Stevo, Rob and Andrea and their kids and Jon and Laura. Of course, we ended the day with Cover Your Assets and a lot of cheese cake and pie:-)

We then kicked off some of our Christmas traditions! The boys and I made gingerbread ornaments for the tree (that I totally forgot to add ginger to😂) and we decorated a gingerbread house with Daddy!

 We were able to squeeze in a few rounds of bowling, which is always a hit with our boys!

 On Friday evening, we went and did one of our favorites! We got our Christmas Tree! Before we go to the tree lot, we get out our German Christmas Nativity Pyramid and set it up on our sideboard. We light the candles and Andy tells the boys the story of Christmas. I love this so much. It is so special to share the story of Baby Jesus and all of the figures that are part of His miraculous birth.

 We headed to Cummings Tree Lot after a yummy dinner. Boys were in heaven! We found ourselves a beautiful tree and let them splash through their fair share of slushy puddles!

 We got home a little late, so Bennett had to wait very patiently to decorate the next day. But it was worth the wait! He and Jensen loved putting all of the ornaments on (and taking them off and on all throughout the month). We made some Christmas Tree shaped french toast and decked the halls!
