Bear Lake Baby!!!

Another first for Bennett--Bear Lake! My childhood pastime. It was the annual Pinnock Bear Lake trip, so after work on Friday, we packed up the car and went on up! We haven't been up there since before we moved to Geneva, and during that time, both Anne's Place and the Farmhouse were remodeled. It was so fun to get up there and see all the changes! Both places look awesome!

Our family all stayed in the Farmhouse. We got somewhat settled, then helped Mom get dinner ready.  We had yummy buffalo chicken tacos, fruit and strawberry shortcake. It was fun just to chill out and get caught up with all my aunts, uncles and cousins.

We had rather a rough night with B. Took awhile to get him to bed, and then he woke up at 3:30. Yeesh. NO fun. But fortunately, he slept till about 8:30. Thank goodness. We took him on a morning walk, which was beautiful. I love Bear Lake mornings and the view of the Lake from the cabins. We made our way over to Anne's Place for breakfast. After yummy eggs and fruit, we all prepped for the beach! this was the highlight! It was the weekend of the 24th, so it was rather packed. We had to drive down quite a ways to find a spot. Marc, Rob and Matt took a bunch of the cousins out on the first round on the boat, while Andy, me, Jess, Kim, Janet, Mom, Dad, Andrea, David and Annette hung out on the beach with the babes.

 Bennett loved the beach! He and Liam just played in the sand and waded in the water for hours! Love these little boys!

After lunch, all of us except Kim who had not been on the boat got to go out. We all just tried surfing, which was fun. I got fried though:( It's hard to tell that you are getting burned when the water is so nippy!

 After the beach, we all got showered and headed over to the town salmon bake. We were joined by Jon and Laura's fam as well as Nate and Ali's fam, ate some food, and then I walked back to the cabin and had a good talk with Laura.

After the big group picture (not an easy feat with 40 people), we all headed to the Bear Cave for shakes! Bennett had his very first Bear Lake Raspberry shake! Delicious as always:)

We headed back to the cabin and we got the babes ready for bed. Some stayed up for fireworks, but B was pretty tired. We all just chilled out and celebrated the 24th Bear Lake Cabin Style.

Andy and I had to leave early the next morning to get back for a farewell, so we said A tout al'heure until nest time! Fun trip!
